Hot new Android handsets
If you’re in the market for a new Android handset then there are currently rich pickings to be had, with a wealth of new releases on the market. What’s more, there’s something for everyone, with a variety of devices that have features to suit all kinds of smartphone needs and requirements.
HTC, for example, have produced a raft of great new handsets featuring the Android operating system, with the ever present Desire HD just getting better each time they revamp it. You’ll also get similar looks and performance from the likes of the Desire S, Wildfire S and Incredible S. HTC might be adding S to a lot of its current models, but that’s because by and large they’re turning out to be something rather special.
Lookout for the likes of LG too, who will bring you a decent bit of handset happiness along the way, with the dual-processor power of the formidable Optimus 2X. Meanwhile, Samsung are also keeping things interesting with the Galaxy S2, which is another high-powered handset that will keep people with performance in mind very happy indeed. The Samsung Galaxy Mini is also well worth a look if you fancy something a little on the smaller side.
Anyone on the lookout for Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo deals, or in fact, deals on any of the other new Xperia models will be well impressed by the superb design, build and performance of these Android powered handsets. Of course, being produced by the Sony Ericsson stable also means that they come with excellent multimedia functionality along with killer camera options too.
Motorola also has a fabulous new phone on its books in the shape of the Atrix. Here’s an Android phone that has plenty of muscle, while that’s also backed up by very decent battery power too. You’ll find a great camera, the HD video quality is something else again, while it can also be used as a sort of entertainment meets home computer type experience thanks to a special HD and Lap Dock arrangement that is a first in the smartphone world.
You’ll also find that there are some other less obvious handsets that still make worthy contenders in the hot new Android list for this year, including the likes of the Acer Liquid Mini and the quirky little INQ Cloud Touch. The latter model falls firmly into the budget category, which in fact means it’ll cost less than £100. Of course, for that there will be limitations, and it’ll certain be lacking the performance of something like the Atrix.
Nevertheless, it merely confirms that there is a wealth of Android smartphones out there and, thankfully, manufacturers have produced models to suit a whole range of budgets. With many people keeping a firm eye on price at the moment then that means you can easily find a decent device, without emptying out your wallet in the process.
