Problems That Can Cause Your Computer Slowly

Each of us frustrated at some point and thought, “Why is this computer so slow?” But most people never take the time to try to answer this question. Below are some common (and not so common) problems that can cause your computer to act slowly, and the improvements that you would expect with a high-speed computing in a short time. All the suggested solution is for Windows XP, which is probably mainly the operating system you use, but applying it to an older version of Windows (or Vista) is only a problem to find a comparable job.

- A fragmented hard drive

Your computer stores all your fixed data (documents, music, videos, photos, etc.) on your hard disk. Through the process of deleting a file and save new files, the data will eventually splintered or broken. When your computer tries to access a fragmented file takes a little longer because they have to cut back the files together to load.

Defragment hard disk is one of the easiest solutions you can do. In Windows XP, click the> Start Menu All Programs> Accessories> System Tools> Disk Defragmenter. Select the volume you want to defragment (usually the C: drive) and select “Analyze” for Windows to determine if the disk is defragmented. If you have not run the Defragmenter in recent months, will probably need defragmented. Click “Defragment” and let Windows do the rest. Defragmenting can take a while, so start when you’re planning to go from the computer. Any program that opens when the defragmentation is performed to “start again in the middle of the road.

- Startup programs

Windows keeps a list of all programs are supposed to load each time the computer starts. The program is called the startup programs, and many of them can not achieve your program. To access the list of startup programs in Windows XP, click the Start Menu> Run and type “msconfig.” After you press Enter, Windows will launch the System Configuration Utility. Go to the Startup tab and look at the long list. Each file is a Windows program that loads every time you turn on your computer. Many of them are system files needed to run the operating system, but I bet that at least some unnecessary programs you can delete from this list (with their mark). These files are not on this list, the less time it will take for Windows
